About the Author

Following the success of Don’t Forget to Cover the Pig: Finding Ourselves in Tasmania—Dick Reese’s memoir about his American family’s emigration to farm life on Australia’s remote island of Tasmania—he jumped the fence into the supernatural fantasy world in The Benevolent Reaper. Conceived as a screenplay while on hiatus from his engineering career to care for his wife, Ruth, and their three children after Ruth was laid up from a horse-riding accident, he recently novelized the plot to reach a wider audience.  

He is currently writing a sci-fi novel—tentatively titled Phibs—in his Northern California home alongside Ruth and Chiweenie sidekick, Frodo.
